Kleszcz Maja
Maja Kleszcz (* July 13, 1985 Warsaw-) Polish singer, musician, music producer, author of theater and film music. Daughter of Włodzimierz Kleszcz, journalist of the Polish Radio, known as the father of Polish world music.
Maja Kleszcz, described by the press and critics as one of the best Polish singers, has been proving for years that this is not an exaggerated assessment. Whether on the stage or composing and playing on stage, she always attracts people with charisma and unique voice. She started her professional career at the age of 14 in Kapela ze Wsi Warszawa, winning awards (including BBC Radio, 3 Fryderyki) and performing in over 30 countries around the world. After leaving the band, since 2010, together with Wojciech Krzak, he has been creating the incarNations project, exploring the world of retro-sounds bordering on jazz and blues.
In addition to the specificity of the stage, he also successfully composes theater and film music.
In December 2015, during the International Theater Festival “Divine Comedy” in Krakow, she won the main prize in the “best music” category for her composition for the performance “Winter Journey” by the Polish Theater in Wrocław. Music composed with Wojciech Krzak for the play “Macbeth” in 2019 was nominated for the “Fryderyk” award in the “best illustrative music” category.
Gifted with acting talent, she also plays in performances including The National Theater in Warsaw and the Polish Theater in Wrocław. In 2019, she received the Award of the Chapter of A. Bardini and the Master’s Diploma.
