Kaczurbina- Zdziechowska Maria

Maria Kaczurbina Zdziechowska (* July 30, 1908 Warsaw – † March 15, 1976 Warsaw) composer and teacher. She studied under Stanisław Kazuro at the Conservatory in Warsaw. From 1929, she was teaching in primary and secondary music schools. In 1948, she started working for the Polish Radio, where she was the author of broadcasts and music programs. She co-created the foundations of music teaching methodology and educational programs for children. She was the author of the primer “My first notes” published in Krakow in 1959. She wrote about 150 songs for children. In the last years of her life, she collected documentation of folk songs, games and dances for children from various regions of Poland.
