Trębicka Maria

Maria Trębicka (* October 26, 1893 Linowa – † September 26, 1985 Warsaw) pianist, composer and teacher. At the Conservatory in Warsaw, she studied piano with prof. Katarzyna Jaczynowska. She studied composition with Roman Statkowski. In 1935, at a competition for young Polish composers, she won a distinction for a violin sonata. She was a piano teacher in Warsaw and Żyrardów. In 1984 she became a member of the Polish Composers’ Union.
