Baroni- Cavalcabo Julia

Julia Baroni – Cavalcabo  (*October 16, 1813-† July 2, 1887) pianist and composer. She studied piano with Mozart’s son – Franz Xaver Wolfgang Mozart. She organized weekly concerts in her palace in Lwów, at which performed, among others, son of Mozart (acting in Lviv as a piano teacher) and Angelika Catalani. Julia Baroni founded a singing society in Lviv called Coecilien Verein together with Franz Xaver Mozart as the conductor of the choirs and orchestra. It was the nucleus of the later Galician Music Society and its university – the Lviv Conservatory. The artist performed as a pianist. In 1830, she gave concerts together with Karol Lipiński.
